Phillip M. Behm

Phillip joined the litigation group at Bennet Grant LLP following his call to the bar in 2023 after receiving his Juris Doctor degree from one of the highest ranked law schools in the world, Melbourne Law School.  His practice focuses on litigation matters touching upon commercial and corporate disputes.  As a member of our commercial litigation group, Phillip has experience dealing with a range of complex commercial disputes including shareholder disputes, employment law matters, real estate litigation and construction disputes.

Throughout his studies Phillip developed a keen interest in commercial and corporate litigation, as well as construction law and intellectual property law.  He received the highest mark in his sports law class, finished in the top 5% of his cohort for his legal research on the influence of artificial intelligence on international patent laws, and finished in the top of his commercial law and disputes class.  

Phillip was born and raised in Kitchener.  As a teenager, he played AAA hockey for the Kitchener Jr. Rangers.  Phillip has stuck with his passion for hockey over the years as a non-parent volunteer coach with the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association and he is currently coaching the Kitchener Jr. Rangers U12 BB hockey team.  In his spare time Phillip enjoys spending time at the cottage in Port Elgin, golfing and walking his golden retriever.
