LEANNE E. WAY
Raised in Salford, Ontario, Leanne spent the first 18 years of her life doing "chores" on a dairy operation. Leanne attended the University of Waterloo and graduated in 1993 with an Honours B.E.S. Co-operative in Geography/Geology. She attended law school at the University of Ottawa, graduating cum laude, and spent three winters skating to school on the canal. Leanne worked for two summers with Nesbitt Coulter in Ingersoll.
Leanne articled at Madorin, Snyder LLP and after completing her Bar Admission course in London, returned to work for the firm in January 1998. Leanne's practice includes civil litigation, municipal law, insurance law and all aspects of family law. She serves on the panel for the Office of the Children's Lawyer.
Leanne spends a great deal of time supporting charitable and community organizations. She is the Past President of the K-W and Area Big Sisters, and a board member of the K-W and Area Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is a board member and Past President of the Family and Children's Services of Waterloo Region.
Leanne canvasses for the Canadian Cancer Society and is involved with their Relay for Life fundraiser. She is also an avid participant in the community Corporate Challenge. In her spare time she enjoys attending numerous hockey games and tournaments to support her nephews. Leanne, her husband and their son make their home in Kitchener.
