DAWN E. PHILLIPS-BROWN
Dawn Phillips-Brown was born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo. She attended Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute, then pursued her undergraduate degree at Brock University where she graduated with distinction. While at Brock, Dawn worked as a research assistant to the Dean of Social Science and as a summer student with Family and Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region and the Regional Municipality of Waterloo.
Dawn studied law at the University of Western Ontario where she was a recipient of the Waterloo Law Association Entrance Scholarship. At Western, Dawn was a researcher for Pro Bono Students Canada, the Chair of the Community Outreach Committee, an active volunteer group co-facilitator with Changing Ways London Inc., and the recipient of the London Life Insurance Company Award for obtaining the highest grade in Insurance Law. She also summered with a law firm specializing in charitable and not-for-profit law.
Dawn articled with Madorin, Snyder LLP and joined the firm as an associate after her call to the bar in June, 2009. Dawn’s practice focuses on civil litigation, employment and corporate not-for-profit law. Dawn is a Board member of Community Support Connections (formerly Meals on Wheels) and the chair of Sponsorships and Donations for the Glass Slipper Affair, an annual charitable event put on by the Family and Children’s Services of Waterloo Region Foundation.
Dawn and her husband make their home in Kitchener.
