Dawn E. Phillips-Brown

Dawn's practice focuses on municipal and professional insurance litigation as well as power of attorney and estate litigation. She also maintains a solicitor's practice in the areas of corporate and not for profit law.

Dawn was born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo. She attended Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute, then pursued her undergraduate degree at Brock University where she graduated with distinction. While at Brock, Dawn worked as a research assistant to the Dean of Social Science and as a summer student with Family and Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region and the Regional Municipality of Waterloo.

Dawn studied law at the University of Western Ontario where she was a recipient of the Waterloo Law Association Entrance Scholarship. At Western, Dawn was a researcher for Pro Bono Students Canada, the Chair of the Community Outreach Committee, an active volunteer group co-facilitator with Changing Ways London Inc., and the recipient of the London Life Insurance Company Award for obtaining the highest grade in Insurance Law. She also summered with a law firm specializing in charitable and not-for-profit law. Dawn articled with Madorin, Snyder LLP and joined the firm as an associate after her call to the bar in June, 2009. 

Dawn is a past board member and chair of nominations for Community Support Connections and is presently a board member and chair of the board for the Downtown Kitchener BIA.

She resides in Wilmot Township with her husband and two boys.
