Articling Program

 

Bennett Grant LLP (formerly Madorin, Snyder LLP) offers an excellent articling student program. During the hiring process, we look for future lawyers who will stay on with the firm after their call to the Bar. The majority of partners and associates articled with the firm. We do not offer summer student positions.

 

Bennett Grant LLP is currently accepting applications for the 2024/2025 articling term.

 

While there is no formal rotation program, the Articling Education Plan is very comprehensive, and provides a practical, hands-on experience of the law. Our articling hiring procedures are based on the Law Society guidelines which have been adopted by the Waterloo Law Association. The specific dates for applications, interviews, job offers and acceptances can be found at the Waterloo Law Association website and in the Law Society of Ontario's Articling Recruitment Procedures.

 

The articling student works under the specific direction and guidance of the articling principal, but is mentored by all members of our firm. You will have direct client contact, carriage of files under the supervision of lawyers, and attend court and tribunals on motions, hearings and small claims court trials. You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge through participation in an extensive list of legal education programs. In short, the position offers much more than just an opportunity to hone your legal research skills.
